I'm not sure if it's a remake and/or a sequel. The SFX look good. I'm glad that technology has come along to the point where most SF movies and shows can be made that actually look real. I found that for the most part, it was very slow and dull, at least until the final 5 minutes. Hopefully the next eppy will be better. In the original series they didn't reveal so much so soon. Still, I did enjoy it. The fx were pretty good. Love the new ships. Was disappointed though that the pilot episode was only one hour.
